...more great summer weather in FMM

While there has been the odd drawback to being back "in the North", our summer this year has been amazing. The weather has been WAY better than our friends have had down South, which has made things good for everyone. Our house is a bungalow, so the kids can basically head out the back door to the yard full of toys, and not get into too much trouble. There have been many, many hours spent in the yard....playing, climbing, sliding, and running thru the sprinkler. Lauren LOVES the sprinkler.....Kate, not so much.

We also celebrated the 9th Anniversary of Andrea's 29th birthday on Monday at........yes......you guessed it.....BP's. The meals we've had there have been countless, but the food is good (not great, but always good), and the kids LOVE it. These days, Lauren eats an entire kids pasta meal on her own.......she is definitely the eating champion of the two.

We also had some work done on the house.........it was hard leaving the house we built/designed back in Calgary, so every now and again, we have the itch to change something about the current shack, and attempt to add some modern touches to it. While we were down South, we had a local tile company come in to do our kitchen back splash. Of course, the tiles they (ie. Andrea) picked were about $60/sq ft, so we had to come up with a "middle ground". In the end, the decorator came thru, and was somewhat close to budget!

I've also gone with the "beach theme" for the blog for summer......where we hope to be spending a great deal of time.

......better go get the dishes done....Andrea will be home from golf soon!
