The Coswan's Blog....NOW News from the South: ....piling on the miles!

I had a couple of weekend events booked, so Andrea and the girls figured there was no use hanging around town with me not around. The plan was to load up the van and head South. Day 1 took them to Calgary for a quick overnight stop at Trina's. Next morning was the much anticipated visit to Market Mall, for some shopping and to meet with some friends for lunch. After lunch, it was off to Lethbridge to see Andrea's sister and family, and most importantly, Kate and Lauren's cousins. While there Lauren even got her very first haircut, which she took to quite well. Andrea wasn't really happy with the result (ie. one straight "snip" across the bangs), but it'll grow back! There was some visiting with the Grandparents, then back to Calgary for more visiting, shopping, and eating at all the fancy places (ie. a standard Vietnamese restaurant). There were a couple more nights spent in town, a much anticipated trip to the zoo, then it was back to Edmonton where I met them before heading back to Fort Mac. All in all, it was 2100 kms over 10 days, and the girls travelled very well.....thank GOD for that built in DVD!!! Lauren is also facing forward now, so she gets to take in the shows without the excessive neck strain of before!
