After all the driving the girls had done over the past month or so, we decided to spend Easter at home. Thankfully, Brenda, Ed, and the kids were up for a trek North, so they came up to spend the weekend. All in all, it was a pretty low key weekend, with some great meals, some games played (if you get a chance, ask Brenda about my amazing "double takeout and roll for a 20" in crokinole), and a good amount of sleeping. Easter Sunday morning was spent hunting for eggs that the Easter Bunny had left around the house and yard, resulting in an EXCESSIVE amount of candy! After the eggs were gathered, there were a few small Easter gifts, and a very traditional Chicken Wing lunch. Brenda, Ed, and Jared headed home on Sunday afternoon, but Sydney stayed up for a few days to hang out....the extra hands will be MUCH appreciated! So far, her and Kate had a nice long hot tub in the rain, played for hours downstairs, and made paper airplanes....not bad for a half day!
