Trips, visitors, and more snow!!!

We made a trek down to Edmonton this past weekend to enjoy a few events. First was the annual Rozak Poker Party, with about 24 people attending.....and many friends that we haven't seen in years. It was a great evening.....that much better as Dad and Shiela (with some help from Aunty Brenda & Sydney) were looking after the girls, so we were free for an evening! The tournament didn't go too well for us, but fun (and likely too much rum) was had! We will now have to listen to Corey for another year about his second place finish, but what can you do?

Saturday was a day for Andrea to spend at the mall, all by herself! Corey and I hung out with the girls, which involved the standard Saturday morning McDonalds run, a visit with Dr Saik, and finally a trip to the park. It also marked the day that Corey "got off the wallet" and bough himself a new sports car.....good job Corey!! Then, as a supreme gift, Dad and Shiela called, offering to look after the girls again for the evening if we wanted to go out for dinner.....yes, yes, yes!!! Corey, Andrea, and I enjoyed an excellent Italian feast, some wine, and just a nice, quiet night.

Sunday was started with an extremely successful trip to Costco, then we picked up my Aunty MaryLou, to drive back with us and stay for a few days. The girls were very happy to have her along for the ride, and to have some extra company around the house. Aunty MaryLou has long been known as the Baby Whisperer......any fussy/unhappy child is happily taken care of, so her presence alone brings out the best in the girls. Her and Andrea had lots of time to catch up on their daytime Soaps, we had some great dinners, and enjoyed one of Aunty Lou's famous apple pies. And by the end of the week, Kate wasn't calling her Aunty Lou anymore....she was now referred to as Grandma! Not sure where it came from, but I think it's a deserving title. All in all, a great week!

And, as some cruel hoax, the weather this week was amazing......+26 nearly all week....until today (Friday). The day started out a bit cool/cloudy, and the forecast of rain quickly turned to a snowfall warning.......it started snowing around 5pm, and up to 10cm are being called for. Not good!!!!

Everyone say "cheese".....
