Kate and Poppa
Our Family
...and the WHOLE Family
And since we were in Waskatenau, we had planned to get together with some friends at Long Lake for a week of camping. We met the crew there on Sunday, and really enjoyed a week of great weather and fun. This time we stayed in the C section....a section that had no power. We had been pretty spoiled by many trips with power, which means we have a/c, tv (for the kids), etc. But it was good to rough it for a week - really not all that much roughing, but the sites were great and very treed, compared to where we usually stay. Since we had no power, Dewey had to debut his new cordless Margaritaville margarita maker - and WOW, was it good! He definitely has spent some time working on his recipe, and we all enjoyed copious quantities of lime margaritas. In fact, we liked them so much, that we now have a machine at home! Anyhow - back to camping. The kids truly had a blast with many hours being spent at the beach, the park, and even fishing. Now THAT is something that everyone should experience only once....with two 3 year olds, on a dock, with real rods/hooks. Needless to say, Dewey and I were spent after an hour of running, rock throwing, reaching down to the water, etc. That said, it was all worth it when I caught the first fish that Kate or Even had ever seen. And even funnier was when we called the kids over because I had a fish on, Kate hollered "Yahtzee"! Not sure where that came from, but Dewey and I almost fell off the dock.
My attempt to "cage them in".....miserable failure!
Standard Beach Stuff.....
"Jack"....the fish that I caught (Dewey estimated him to be 20lbs)
And then it was back to Waskatenau to drop off the trailer, which just so happens to have the BEST playhouse ever! Cousin Sydney's farm has a full size shed that is pretty much a kids dream, and Kate absolutely loves going there to hang in the playhouse. Here are a few shots of the kids doing there thing.

That's it for now....hope all is well with you and yours.
