December and WINTER Have Arrived

Hello All

Yes....I know....it's been a while since we've posted. Andrea has been slacking....that's all I can attribute it to. Ok.....maybe it's that I've been gone a fair bit the past few weeks for work, and we just haven't had much time to update. Anyhow, things have stabilized for a few days now, so I figured we'd better get something up.

We had Granny (Andrea's Mom) up for a week this past week, and as always, the extra hands are great to have around. That and the kids absolutely love her.....so it makes it fun for the kids (someone new to beat up) and tiring for Granny (not used to two very energetic girls attacking her). In the week that she was here, I think I was home for two nights, so though I didn't get in too much visiting, it was great for her and Andrea to have the time together.

We have been getting PILES of snow these past weeks.......it just seems to keep coming. It has made for a very "wintery" look about town, and definitely give the feeling of Christmas being close. Unfortunately, up until this weekend, it has been very cold also, but we're now in the mid-teens, which suddenly seems very warm. I've also gotten out for a few snowmobile trips, and the ditch riding has been likely the best I've ever ridden.......LOTS of fresh snow and no tracks on it. I call my snowmobile a skidoo, and Kate seems to struggle with that word....she calls it a "skiskoo". She'll say "Dad, it's snowing again.....so you should go out on your skiskoo." I usually respond to this with "go ask your mother"......

Hope everyone is well, and getting ready for Christmas. We'll blog over the holidays once Santa arrives.......if the girls have been good enough to warrant a stop by him.

  1. Lots of snow here too. Evan's playhouse looks quite similar. We really miss you guys! Loved your Christmas card.

Evan has seen Santa twice...once at the work Christmas party & once at preschool. He doesn't seem to mind him.

Oh and in yet another bid for "mother of the year", I totally forgot it was pyjama day at preschool so Evan was the ONLY kid in his normal clothes. "Best Mom Ever"....you know it's true. :)
