We made it thru a long weekend of "less than stellar" weather.....but that's ok. We got a TON done around the shack.....shed purging, garage cleaning, and flower planting. All in all, very productive! AND, there is actually some room in the incredible inadequate garage for a few things. Not bad at all.
Saturday morning we awoke to some sun......but things were fairly damp. That did not deter us from our 8am tee time. We had the sitter arrive around 7:30am, and we snuk away for 18 holes. By the 14th tee, Andrea was in her toque and mitts, but it wasn't as bad as it was looking. She played very well for her first game this year, and really, her first game in a few years.
Other than that, it's been busy with trying to keep "Lauren the Walker" safe. This child has ZERO sense of fear......Kate was scared of everything, and it kept her safe. Not Lauren.....if there is danger to be found, you can bet she's all over it. Her stability has gotten pretty good now, and she doesn't crawl at all, but now that she's able to walk, she thinks that it's a good idea to stand on top of the bean bag chair in the basement. Or it's a great plan to stand on the mini slide in the back yard. Or the stool in the washroom should be carried around legs up while trying to walk with it. Anyhow, there have been MANY mishaps along the way, but she's tough......meaning it will be trouble for Kate, as her dominance will soon be coming to an end. Lauren will be pounding her at every opportunity!
As the video below shows, her walking is good, and she's become very interactive...blowing kisses, giving "5's", etc.....she's just happy to be out doing pretty much anything. And she LOVES the slide!
